PROJECT TOTAL DURATION: 24 MONTHS / PROJECT END DATE: 31-8-2023 COORDINATOR SCHOOL: OSNOVNO UCHILISHTE HRISTO SMIRNENSKI-BULGARIA FIT 4 LIFE is a project, promoting health, well-being learning and sustainable development through sport, healthy eating, strengthening students’ immune system and ensure safe learning environments. The main objective is to increase the number of students who lead an active life, as well as healthy mental and physical habits.
FIT 4 LIFE is increasingly important nowadays, because of the severe pandemic from “Coronavirus”. Schools all over Europe are closed and students all around the globe live in isolation. Teachers from six European countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia, Spain and Romania) are ambitious and united by the common dream of helping students and their families deal with this difficult situation because we all are in this together. Today, more than ever, it is necessary to work to strengthen children's physical and mental health by fostering strict hygiene habits and to improve their immune system not only important for the protection of COVID-19, but also as prevention against all infectious diseases. The project aims to encourage and support each student to achieve the best in their lifelong journey with health, fitness, and wellbeing and support their personal development.
The project team, coordinated by the Bulgarian school, wants to develop a stronger, broader and more defined program of health and well-being education both for students and also for staff and parents. For that reason the intention of this project is to improve health and well-being in general through following main topics:
